We offer the 15-hour Basic RiderCourse ℠ in Western and Downeast Maine and are accepted by Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles as the required training prior to receiving your motorcycle license endorsement.  The State of Maine road test / exam is waivered upon successfully completion.

Basic RiderCourse –The best place for a new rider to start once they’ve made the decision to ride. Successful completion of this course and its knowledge and skill tests, which consists of approximately taking a five (5) hour, online (computer) MSF eCourse and 10 hours of on-cycle instruction over a two-day period, will serve as a license test waiver program in Maine. Motorcycles are provided for you during the course. A Maine Course Completion Certificate will be issued upon successful completion of such course. Also, a Motorcycle Safety Foundation {MSF} course completion card will be provided for a possible rider insurance discount. 
Cost: $400 / Minimum $100 Deposit / No Refunds

Unfortunately, we do not offer the Basic RiderCourse2, Advanced RiderCourse, or the 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse. We will be more than happy to assist you on finding such class.

Our courses complies with the military DoD Instruction 6055.4 for level II training. CMMS will not be offering the BRC2 or ARC. Military personnel please check with your Base Safety Office or Command Motorcycle Safety Representative (MSR). You can call this office and we will gladly steer you in the right direction.

This online course is a key component of the full hands-on Basic RiderCourse, but can also be completed as a stand-alone program without enrolling in a hands-on course. Graphics and videos illustrate the lessons to help you understand principles of motorcycling and determine whether motorcycling is right for you. The Basic eCourse alone is NOT accepted as a license waiver by any state’s DMV, or as a motorcycle license or learner’s permit. With Spanish language option.
